ArtFairCalendar.com exists to promote the work and sales of the hard-working artists and craftspeople who make their livings exhibiting at art shows. Their creativity and passion for fine craftsmanship provide art fair attendees like you with beautiful, unique items not available in chain stores and shopping malls. These creative entrepreneurs work extremely hard. Constant travel, long hours, heavy labor hauling and setting up their booths, and many expenses mean that survival as a fine artist can often be a challenge.

Bazaar Bizarre began in 2001 in the Boston-area as a hodge-podge of friends and acquaintances cobbling together their handcrafted DIY wares to sell and staging an offbeat entertainment extravaganza. In 2004 the Bazaar Bizarre spread to Los Angeles and Cleveland and in 2006 Make took us under their wing to include the Bazaar Bizarre as part of the Maker Faire in the San Francisco-area every spring. The Bazaars in Boston, Cleveland, Los Angeles and San Francisco happen every year during peak holiday shopping season in December.

Since 1971, Bumbershoot has drawn artists representing the best in music, film, comedy, spoken word, dance, theatre, performance, and visual arts to the Seattle Center over Labor Day weekend. For 2007 we had an amazing lineup including The Shins, Wu-Tang Clan, Lupe Fiasco, Kings of Leon, Panic! at the Disco, Joss Stone, Fergie, Gym Class Heroes and Crowded House.

This annual art festival in New Haven, CT is an open invitation for all local artists to throw open their doors and share their work with the public. Three weeks of artsy fun include tours of artists' own studios as well as larger viewings in such exotic locals as an abandoned toy factory and a forgotten middle school. Most art is for sale. Larger viewings include d.i.y. workshops.

I Heart Rummage is a showcase of indie crafts and functional art. The monthly craft fair takes place the first Sunday of every month in one of Seattle’s legendary nightclubs.

The Renegade Craft Fair is a unique DIY event originated by Sue Blatt + Kathleen Habbley. When this event began in 2003, there was nothing else like it. We took up crafts as a hobby after college and decided to try selling our stuff in local fairs. To our surprise, no events were catering to the burgeoning DIY craft community or even prohibited crafts all together. So we thought of organizing a fair of our own that tapped into this movement and provided a laid back, fresh venue for artists and shoppers alike.

The SoWa Open Market offers a shopping experience like no other in Boston. With an ever-changing group of artisans, a hip location and the chance to feel the sun on you face while you browse, it's a trip worth making. The Market offers the opportunity to meet the artists, vendors and farmers behind the work, and is fast becoming part of the South End's well-known artist's community. Swap-O-Rama-Rama is a clothing swap and series of do-it-yourself workshops in which a community explores creative reuse through the recycling of used clothing. The Swap: When you attend the swap bring at least one bag of your unwanted clothing and a small donation (each swap varies depending on available funding). Every swap begins with a giant collective pile of clothing, the unwanted clothing of all who attend. Everyone is welcome to dive in and find their next new/used items from the pile. Take as little or as much clothing from this pile as you like, it's all free.

We are a community of crafters, dedicated to growing the crafting community and showcasing the best indie crafts out there.
